Now a days commercials are used intentionally for the viewers so they can buy their product. A lot of the commercials are using the three rhetorical appeals, ethos, pathos, and logos, all of these appeals are used in the commercial of “Calrl’s JR BBQ Best Pair.” Carl’s Jr uses ethos, pathos, and logos, the intended audience they are trying to reach out to are mostly men, and teenegers. The use Sara Underwood and Emily Ratajkowski play the part of two seductive cow-girls that make hamburgers eating them very sexually. They use pathos in order to entice the viewers with overly-sexualized eating of burgers. The final rhetorical device they use at the very end of their commercials is logos. They intend to grab the attention of the males by showing them how they eat the burger, and how they are dressed, all these factors are to keep the attention of the male. Carl’s jr would not put two ugly girls in their commercial because it is unattractive to the guys they like seeing slender beautiful girls. Most of the Carl’s Jr commercials are intended for male audience to watch, they are not really intended for the female audience. The most obvious one is the gender role of women in today's society. In Carl's Jr. ads the women are viewed as sex objects to entrance the men watching their commercial at the time. In the commercial stated above, the women are all overly-sexualized and used merely to market the burgers. The commercial, BBQ's Best Pair, is basically saying to all the women that in order for the guys to look at you and drool for you have to be slender, beautiful , seductive so that guys will look at you more, as in the ad that is what the two guys are doing looking almost drooling at the two women as they make their
