Obedience is an important thing to have exclusively during a time like this. In Doc, H “We will meet your physical force with soul force” This quote says that they will not fight back and retaliate, but to meet them with soul force. For them not to want to fight back takes extreme obedience especially when they are using physical force. Martin Luther King Jr stats in doc B, “with this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to climb together, to climb up for freedom together knowing that we will be free one day” they had a lot of obedience and had their mind already set on what they wanted. When he said “...I don’t go along with anyone who wants to teach our people nonviolence until someone at the same time is teaching our enemy to be nonviolent” (doc k). So many people disagrees with him because violence should never be used by any means necessary. He would have gained a lot of followers if maybe would have changed his tactics. This is why Martin Luther King Jr was a better leader than Malcolm X.
