Personal Narrative: My Goals In My Writing

In first semester I set many goals for myself to accomplish in second semester. Those goals included putting more time and effort into my writing and learning to use more writing strategies. Another goal goal was to use more poetic language. My final and most important goal was that I needed to expand my use of transitions. To achieve these goals I planned to study the rhetorical terms packet often and to stray away from online resources. I think I have met these goals extremely well in second semester and my writing has excelled. I now seamlessly include transitions and advanced word choices into my writing. I have also been putting much more time and effort into every essay and I have been pushing myself very hard to better my writing. I followed through with the steps by studying the rhetorical terms at least twice every week and by trying not to overuse online resources. It was also the most challenging for me which is why I learned so much and became a better writer from it. It is the essay I am most proud of because I put an immense amount of time and effort into it and it completely paid off not only in my grade, but in my education. What I liked most about this essay was how the class spent weeks preparing for it and writing it, which helped to truly prepare me and inspire me to make it into a stunning essay. Some of the strongest sentences in this essay were, “Mansurov is suggesting that the moment photography was discovered, society recognized a new, magnificent form of art. Society soon realized photography was more than just taking a photo of something, but instead capturing the feelings of everyone involved in the process.” Not only did I use effective vocabulary and tone, but also exceptional sentence structure. There is no doubt that this essay was my best of the
