Coming to united states was unbelievable and studying here at University of Southern Mississippi was of great joy and a dream come true. And I never thought that I would read English here too as a subject. First day at university was unforgettable, those moments with my newly made friends. First day was full of excitement, fears, and joy. I still remember me and my two friends searching for college hall as our English call was there. And as soon as we found out, being so excited we ran there and went upstairs to room 201. But as we reached there we suddenly stopped, with the fear that how our teacher might look like, how are the students? These questions were all over our mind making us nervous. And then slowly we opened the door and the entered the room. As we entered, we saw our teacher Professor Vineyard. He was just sitting there and waiting for the arrival of new students. I think he was also a bit excited to see us. I never thought that I would enjoy English class so much as I did now this semester. It was above expectation. At beginning, I didn’t know how to properly organize and express my views in letters. Now after studying English 100e I have understood the relation that what audience and the writer hold. It has helped me improve technical parts of writing like paragraph forming, commas etc. in which I think I was weak. Also, I didn’t have any idea about the American writing format APF and MLA but I learned in this semester. My English class ran very smooth in the entire semester. Our professor helped us a lot. He was there for us every time we needed him. He also extended our due while we could not complete our projects. The rough drafts in the discussion board helped us a lot. Rough drafts helped to improvise my grammar and thinking capability as a writer. It also helped to extend my thoughts for
