This made me brainstorm on the topic and the genre of the assignment in order to create a well thought out solution that is easily conveyed to the audience through the paper or the visual PSA. This required me to find a real time problem, previous attempts to solve the issue and my own better way to help solve the problem. I needed good resources on what was previously done and the results of what had followed after implementing these new tactics. The main reason I chose to write about distracted driving in Las Vegas was due to the daily accidents we have here and the high fatality rate due to these accidents. I believe that evaluating the results of past endeavors created to stop this issue is crucial to build something better, also appeal more to the audience in order to have better results. Both Project #1 and Project #2 challenged me to hone my skills and lessons learned from this class in order to progress and grow as a writer. Though the projects differed, each had its own focus, such as Project #1 focusing on persuading the audience with evidence and credible sources. All the claims I made in order to convince within this topic required much research and credible sources on this topic in order to create my own opinion and back it with facts. Project #1 targeted all age groups that used technology on a daily basis, so my tone was formal because of the wide scope of possible readers. In order to show the scope of the problem to the audience on the NSA spying controversy, I had used sources such as articles that had direct leaked information. This raised issues high controversy over the topic due to the lack of privacy in anyone 's lives and the risk of hindering the Internet.
