At first glance you are able to recognize the overall argument that is being presented here based on the actions that are being made in each image. The image to the left shows kids playing the game called “paddy cake” together while the image on the right shows kids playing on their laptops. This shows how much times have change and how much technology is taking over our live, especially children who are constantly being exposed to the new technology around them. The images I chose were very specific because I wanted to present a visual metaphor in my overall argument. If you look at the image, the kids on the left are facing each other where the image on the right the kids are back to back. This was done purposely to show that technology is beginning to take away from our face to face interactions. Kids have become so focused on screens, they are not acquiring the necessary skills they need in order to communicate properly in person. You can see this symbolizes the idea of the communicational gap that is being created amongst individuals due to the extensive use of technology over face-to-face interactions. I would say the choice I made regarding this image and presenting this argument to my target audience turned out exactly as I had hoped.
