I first want to address the stress of my first attempt at writing for an audience who specializes in the art of writing and argumentation. With that being said, the three readings I am focusing on this week (McNabb, Brooke, and Fleming) did precise job of explaining what exactly the art of rhetoric entails and the nature of Rhetoric and Composition as a field of study. I was fascinated with Fleming’s explanation of argument and the origins and models for arguing. I am of the general public who think that one “has” an argument rather than one “makes” an argument.
