Some of the key skills and attributes of a revenue manager, which I believe that I demonstrated, were time management skills, exhibiting the ability to handle responsibility, learning from my mistakes, prioritising tasks and being able to deal with stressful situations. At the same time, there are many skills and attributes which I believe I didn’t demonstrated well and will have to in the future, if I want to be a successful revenue manager. The key skills and attributes that I need to learn and apply more effectively are analysing and being able to integrate different variables, having a tolerance for uncertainty and learn how to consult and motivate fellow team members. During this semester I personally contributed to my overall success in the PTAP 2310 class by studying consistently and coming prepared to class. I found that having previously read the chapter and notes, I was able to further understand what Dr. Amite was teaching. This also proved to be beneficial if I had trouble understanding a portion of the chapter I could come with questions. I entered this class knowing that my performance and understanding of the information relied heavily on my entrance into the PTA program. Becoming a PTA is so important to me that it kept me driven to have a complete understanding of the material, even when it was most difficult.…

My experiences in SCI 195A this semester taught by Ingrid Peterson and Dina Schwartz have been nothing less than extraordinary. Being a first semester freshman at a top university, such as the University of Arizona, is a tremendous culture shock even coming from a nationally ranked college preparatory school as I did. Although college is full of opportunity, it entails legions of work! College certainly includes more responsibility such as time management, test taking strategy, and planning for the future. Each of these values (and more) were passed onto me this semester by Ingrid and Dina.…

Before I came to Kisling Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (NCOA), I thought of myself as a good leader with certain traits and aspects. I believe that if I take care of my airmen, that they’ll take care of me by completing work orders, squadron objectives, or any future events without question. It wasn’t until I attended NCOA, that I was able to put concept names to the leadership traits that I had. For example, I would put aside my self-interest for the good of the work center because I wanted my guys to know that I have their best interest at heart. Which turns out to be part of transformational leader idealized influence.…
