Troy, I agree with your argument that if the United States had lost the Revolutionary War, our world (the United States of America), would be very different today. As you described, the Declaration of Independence, as well as the Constitution and Bill of Rights, are all important documents that helped shape our American government and history. If King George III had not signed the Treaty of Paris in 1783, we would still be under Britain’s oppressive rule. The American colonists, who fought tirelessly for their independence from Great Britain for many years, would not have been given the right to govern themselves.
