Revolutionary Discovery

One of my dreams as a child, making a revolutionary discovery, has followed me for the duration of my life. In school, hearing about such names as Einstein, Newton, or Curie, I can’t say that I didn’t dream to be among those names. Nevertheless, the fame never piqued my interest; the thought of contributing a discovery that benefits everyone on Earth catalyzed my foray into bettering my knowledge. My knowledge, what I can offer, to improve humanity, what more could I yearn. I find efforts to ameliorate humanity, beyond those that make a sacrifice to do so, are the noblest. Along with this mindset of improving life for others, general service to others is a natural companion. An important facet of my personality dictates that I feel the need to assist people with trivial tasks and anything that benefits a group of people, tasks such as holding doors for groups. People give thanks, of course, but no gratification comes from completing tasks that I believe everybody should race to act upon. The gratification comes from another following suit after seeing an act of kindness. Picture an entryway with two doors, one after the other. Acting as I have has shown me exactly the way I wish to dedicate my life. Beyond my talents and skills, I value this quality as defining of myself. As I citizen, this quality, and carrying it out, serves as a responsibility, one that I wish other would uphold.
