I suggest that he most significant message of Revolution of Character is that there are six dimensions, with the “heart” at the center, that need to work in the proper order and unison for spiritual maturity to occur in the believer. These dimensions are “thoughts”, “feelings”, “the heart”, “the body”, “social context” and, finally, the soul with the sole being what ties the other five together. Also important to this is understand that Willard/Simpson seems to use the terms “heart” and “spirit” and “will” equally and/or interchangeably. “From the contents of our heat, we see our world and interpret reality” (pg 12).
