Reviewing Antler's Restaurant

I will be reviewing the Antlers Restaurant in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. The Antlers Restaurant, originally known as The Blood Bucket Saloon, was an ice cream parlor during the time of prohibition. After four generations and six different families it has become what it is today. This review will cover the menu, decor, service, atmosphere and location.
The menu is filled with hearty foods that are served in large portions. The fries overflow off the plate. The dishes are so filling that there is no room for the homemade desserts. The local cuisine served tastes delicious. They serve fresh caught Lake Superior whitefish, perch, steak, burgers, and a local favorite venison poutine. These foods fit the atmosphere very well because you can look all around you and see what the animal you are eating looked like before it was cooked as it’s

It blew away my expectations. There was taxidermy everywhere from the front door all the way through the restaurant. There were animals and antlers of all kinds lining the walls and rafters. The restaurant overall had a very rustic look inside with wood tables, floors, walls and rafters. There are over 200 taxidermy animals including deer, antelope, bears, big cats, moose, fish and various antlers.
The service was great for the most part. The workers were very nice, friendly and efficient. Waitresses smiled the whole time and seemed to want to be there serving me. They checked in frequently to make sure my drink was always filled. The restaurant is so popular you might have to wait for a table. The restrooms are quite surprising. You may want to hold all your drinks if you don’t want to use the bathtub urinal.
When you walk into The Antlers, the atmosphere is fun and lively. Bells are rung, whistles blow and horns are honked when customers walk in. The Antlers is very casual dining. There is no need to get dressed up, it’s a jeans and t-shirt

Taryn had recommended and ordered me the New York Steak and the homemade clam chowder. Upon arrival of my steak the blissful sound of sizzling meat made its way to my ear. The steak came with rice pilaf, and cole slaw that made the plate look like an art piece created by Picasso. The steak made a crisp sound when struck with my knife and it cut like jello. The steak had a buttery taste and when eaten with the rice pilaf, it added a sour cream and onion flavor.…

Today Halloween is the second most commercialized and profitable holidays in today’s world, where trick or treating, costumes, and decorations all are apart of some of the favorite things we like to think about with Halloween. Although in Rick Bass’s short story Antlers, the story starts with the town’s annual Halloween party, where the traditions they have are a little less traditional. In the story the party itself holds a very symbolic meaning and has many underlying tones throughout the entire story. The importance of the party being specifically for Halloween is crucial to the story, as a lot would change otherwise. The Halloween party in Antlers is a little different to our own ideas and ideals for the festivities.…
