There were many contributions to the Chicano movement. Most of the people who were part of the movement focused on the issued that were discussed, they fought for correcting injustice working rights. Other people focused on education and political. Some of the groups that were formed during this time was the The Crusade for Justice in Denver this was led by the Rodolfo. Under his leadership experiences he lead groups in Colorado He had a strong relationship within the network he had assembled under the rubric of cultural nationalism. The Brown Berets were one of the groups and it was students who worked together to stand up for educational policies. This group shook the political establishment with other Chicanos that participated to see change. What was good about this movement was that Chicanos were not alone, blacks and Indians were taking a stand with them in the social structure. Those who were more conservative did not wanted to get involved because they were scared of the law. The bad thing about this social structure was that they attracted law enforcement, they sometimes were undercover and they wanted to prevent them from standing up. It talks about how even if there was some changes and improvements that had to do with the Chicanos they were some injustice things that still kept going. There was the development of Chicanozaje with was altered consciousness of the Mexican Americans this was used to change the status of a Mexican American and their heritage. Most of the Chicanos encourage high position leaders to establish cultural exchange programs that helped them reconnect their heritage with the north. This time, brought awareness of what was happening and focus on people’s experiences. They were now reflecting on what was wrong and they were showing interests in Chicano culture. Many people were protesting to save bilingual schools because they wanted to save there culture and still learn a new one while doing it. Most of these programs were started in the 1960’s and even it was to late to have bilingual schools, they realized that it improved the students ability to learn more and they were more smart. More of the changes that we have now, is because of the many changes that occurred in the 1970’s without it many generations wouldn’t be having the educational and working rights they have
