“Casablanca” is one of the most wellknown romantic drama films from the
1940’s, with it’s deeply obvious profound impact upon the film industry in Hollywood.
The movie starts out in the town Casablanca, where war refugees go to try to stow
away to the United States. That night in a Cafe, Ugarte a crook arrives and boasts to
the owner (and exsupplier of weapons to an african country during a war with Italy),
Rick Blaine that he valuable possesses passes which let him travel around the war torn
Europe and Portugal and plans to sell them. But a corrupt military leader bursts in and
arrests him, and he later dies. Louis Renault, the corrupt military leader never gets his
hands on the letters of transit as they were given to Blaine.
