Review Of Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Double Down

Decent Essays
I think the book, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid Double down”, written by Jeff Kinney, was an awesome book. The book is about a young kid, like me, who is just learning his common sense and his moral ethics. The book was very entertaining to read as it gives the perspective of a young boy, Greg Heffley, of his not-so-ordinary life. People may think he’s ordinary, but when you get into his everyday life, it gets weird. He has an older brother, which I can relate to, and he’s always trying to get out of work, no matter what. He lives in a normal and healthy neighborhood and a safe environment, but doesn’t care, as he spends most of his time indoors. And, he also does many odd things, of which I could connect with, like when he was searching for his parents

The Cather in the Rye really sucked me in and got me thinking about a lot. The book is about teenager Holden Caulfield and his experiences growing up and maturing in New York before he decides to go home. Initially the book started out kind of slow but quickly picked up and I had a hard time putting it down. The Catcher in the Rye quickly caught my attention and dragged me in. In the second chapter of the book while Holden is talking to his history teacher Mr. Spencer about how life is just a game, Holden states “Game, my ass.…

Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits written David Wong takes place in two contrasting areas. To begin with, the novel starts out in the countryside of Colorado and later transfers to a fictional city named Tabula Rasa. Tabula Rasa is a city much like Las Vegas only with fewer restrictions. Additionally, the story takes place thirty-to-forty years from now, in a future that resembles the present with just some quirks that you would need to adjust to if you were to live there. You can liken the future’s difference from the nineteen-eighties to the present.…
