Racism is between one group to another, with no regards to whom the perpetrator is, nor whom the victim is in the situation. Likewise, I believe that it is possible to be racist to a majority to an extent, for one main reason. Minorities can face such severe forms of racism that they could easily be incarcerated for life, hospitalized, or worse, dead. The majority does not have to face these “severe” forms of racism simply because they are white. The worst forms of racism that the majority can face is name calling and so few of the population even experiences that. For example, Mary, an Iranian student, who lives in a predominantly white and wealthy community states that she is not properly educated on racism and the struggle of most minorities in the America. “I asked Mary if her class talked about their personal experiences with racism or about the everyday microaggressions experienced by people of color in our society.
