Albert Schweitzer “It is the fate of every truth to be an object of ridicule when it is first acclaimed” – Albert Schweitzer. I agree with Albert Schweitzer because every living thing should be valued for its life, respect everyone and everything, and how we don’t have our code of ethics anymore. J. Baird Callicott is a philosopher whom disagrees with Albert Schweitzer and whom I disagree with because he believes in environmental ethics. Albert Schweitzer believed in “Reverence for Life” and I agree with him. Reasons I agree is because we should value every living thing. Examples are that no matter what living thing there is we should value it for itself, not what it can just do for humans. Second, we should respect everyone and everything.
