Revere Lanterns Analysis

Imagine that it’s late at night. You have only a horse to ride. There are no lights, and you’re challenged to warn villagers about the British coming. This was some of the difficult tasks Revere had to overcome in 1775.There are many similarities and differences between the poem and the historical account. One of the similarities was the meanings of the lanterns. One of the differences was that the number of messengers differed. Longfellow used and altered history by making it informative and make Revere more of a hero.
