Twitter being a social media holds a “Code of Business Conduct & Ethics” that falls under the rule based ethics. With that being said, their business is “communicated by rules” (Kemp, 155). Therefore, they must have a set of rules that are acceptable by the company to be executed to the team. Which is presented in their Code of Conduct that displays of what is “designed to deter wrongdoing and promote” such things such as doing their jobs, being honesty, acting with financial integrity, and so on (CITE). This is made out by Twitter in order for their employees and anyone else working in the corporation to comply with. It is clear that this business has based their code upon this because as stated by them “This Code of Business Conduct and Ethics (the "Code of Conduct") sets out basic guiding principles” (CITE) and by all means, the purpose of having that sort of standard is to show how a company is basing their ethics on principles. Instead of having rules set out like Facebook, Amazon lays out the fundamental bases of different topics such as Health & Safety, Conflicts of Interest, and more. They don’t seem to have a set of rules of which the employees must follow but more of what they look for in order for their business to run successfully. The reason behind this decision is because it involves both ethics unlike the others which only obtained either one. Although, they tend to have successful companies, they don’t fully have it all like Facebook does. By having a principle upon your company, Facebook is showing their customers of what their company is based on. That sort of knowledge to have about a company makes it sincere for those to trust the business because the consumers are aware of the fundamental source of Facebook. This especially presents sincere towards the corporation because they specfic what is expected of the employees of Facebook. Therefore there is no surprise and dishonesty leading towards the service the consumers will encounter
