“Hamlet” a revenge tragedy Hamlet is one of the most famous work of Shakespeare. One of the best adaptation of Shakespeare’s work is the movie “Hamlet” of (1996). Basically, the plot of the movie is about Hamlet, a man who lost his father, the king of Denmark. Later, he was contacted by a ghost who apparently was his father 's ghost. In order to that occurrence, the ghost told Hamlet that his father was murdered by the new king, his uncle. Consequently, the ghost told him to take revenge of his dead. With this in mind, Hamlet now has a mission to find evidence to incriminate the King, in order to take his revenge of his father dead. At the end of the story the main characters died. This event was a tragedy and a revenge in another level. Hamlet in order to take revenge, had to devise a plan. But not just any simple plan just to kill someone, it needed to be a plan that was too witty and made the guilty reveals his crimes. Hamlet said: Now might I do it pat, now he is praying; and now I 'll do 't. And so he goes to heaven; and so am I revenged. That would be scann 'd: A villain kills my father; and for that, I, his sole son, do this same villain send to heaven. (Hamlet text, III.III.73-94). Hamlet said this and more phrases like this after he meet with the ghost. The contact with the ghost, changed the way he view the people of the kingdom and he obtain the mission of revenge against the guilty. Hamlet’s plan basically was that he was going to pretend dementia in order that no one would suspect of him. Through the story, Hamlet found partners who were going to help him because they were his friends and because they needed to be loyal to him. Also, he wanted more proofs, it was not enough with what the ghost told him. One important proof that he found was when he make a play about how the king was murdered and show it to everybody in the kingdom. Consequently, he found that the new king, his uncle was the murderer. In the other hand, he king and the queen were worried about Hamlet mental state. Both were trying to find what was happening to him that they got help from Polonius. Polonius was a loyal assistant of the king and queen. Polonius offers help them to discover what was wrong with her son. He was going to use his daughter …show more content…
One of them was the new king and the ghost. In fact, through the story it became clearer what was the new king intentions and why did he killed the other king. Basically, he want to make a treat with England. In order to succeed he have to kill the king and become the new king, and later kill Hamlet. On the other hand, the ghost apparently was the soul of Hamlet father. Interestingly hamlet and his friends were the only ones who could see him. Also, Hamlet was the only one who could talk to him and later he was the only one who could see him throughout history. When Hamlet meet the ghost for the first time he said: I am thy father 's spirit, Doom 'd for a certain term to walk the night, 10 and for the day confined to fast in fires, till the foul crimes done in my days of
