Hamlet is written by William Shakespeare. Hamlets father (Old Hamlet) has been murdered by his brother (Claudius). After the death of Old Hamlet, Claudius married Hamlets mother Gertrude. Ever since Hamlet found out Claudius killed his father, he has been trying to gain revenge ever since. Until one day it has been achieved. Claudius is now crowned the new King and Gertrude still remains Queen. A man by the name of Polonius is the adviser. He has two kids by the name of Ophelia and Laertes. Ophelia is Hamlets lover while Laertes on the other hand doesn’t necessarily like Hamlet. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are friends of Hamlet but after a while they turn on Hamlet and start whishing upon Claudius’s decisions to gain power with the King. If …show more content…
If Hamlet would have killed Claudius, Polonius would still be alive. Only because Polonius wouldn’t have been mistaken for Claudius behind the curtain. Gertrude and Hamlet are have a discussion about embarrassing Claudius at the play. Polonius is there to listen to the conversation. He is hiding behind the curtain just in case something violent occurs. Gertrude shouted help so Polonius did too. Hamlet, thinking it is Claudius, stabs right through the curtain not knowing who was actually behind it. After all it was Polonius and he fell to his death. If Hamlet were too kill Claudius in the chapel, Polonius wouldn’t have been mistaken for him the King.
Ophelia is Hamlets lover, or so she thought. After the death of her father Polonius, Ophelia became insane. They had a very good relationship together but Polonius is extremely protective over her. Once Ophelia found out her father has been murdered by the man she loved, she was lost. She had no one to go to for help or support. Gertrude found Ophelia drowning herself in the nearby river. If Hamlet would have killed Claudius in the chapel, Ophelia wouldn’t have become insane and kill herself over her father’s

At this point, they have turned against Hamlet and start supporting the decisions of Claudius. Claudius has a plan to send Hamlet to England because he knows how dangerous he is around the castle. He is planning on sending a letter to England saying he wants Hamlet to be killed as soon as he hits England soil. Before the letter is sent, Hamlet has found it and makes a couple changes to it. He wants Rosencrantz and Guildenstern killed. Hamlet re-wrote the letter to make sure Rosencrantz and Guildenstern will be murdered as soon as they land in England. On the way to England, Hamlets ship is attacked by pirates and he is held prisoner. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern took a different way of transportation and they are killed as soon as they arrived. If Hamlet would have killed Claudius, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern would still be alive because Claudius wouldn’t have wrote the letter for Hamlet to be
