Retardation In John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men

I do not believe that people with mental retardation should be able to obide by the same rules as a normal person. People with mental retardation do not have the same ability to react as quick and accurate as a normal person does. A good example from the story is, Lennie could not remember much he was a very forgetful man. Lennie would not be able to survive on his own he needs someone like George to be with him to help him with things. Lennie did not think before he acted in the story. I do not believe that a mentally challenged person should be allowed to abide by the same rules as a normal person.
I believe that George had the right to kill Lennie. George had put up with Lennie for so long, He drove George crazy and George did not give up.
