Retail Store Evaluation Essay

Retail Store Evaluation What makes a store a “great” store? Typically, customers base their judgment of how good a store is upon its environment, it’s workers, and of course its quality of products corresponding to the price. Rue 21 is a young women and men’s retail store that offers a variety of clothing and accessories at a discounted price. It has numerous locations, but a popular site is in one of Kansas’ shopping malls, Towne East Square Mall, located in Wichita. This particular store is not a great store due to its lack of organization, its poor customer service, and it’s unreasonable and beatable prices. Rue is widely known as being a store with good deals, which is what its main attraction was when it gained popularity. In my opinion, the store used to have great deals; you could find great clothing and accessories at an unbeatable price. That has certainly changed over time. Now, Rue’s prices seem to be a little excessive, while the quality has seemed to weaken. Of course, if you are going to pay a significantly less amount for a product, you can expect to get a lower quality item. Rue’s items seem to be less durable and don’t last very long. You would expect the price to be lower if the product is a lower quality, but in Rue, that is not the case. The prices seem to get more and more expensive every time I have gone in the store. This may be due to the momentum the store has gained, or maybe it is just a seasonal
