Resurrection of Jesus Many people and religions have a different meaning and definition of who Jesus is. What his resurrection means. Some don’t believe he exists or that he even rose from the dead. Some believe that he was just a man sent by God. Some believe he was just a prophet and a godly man. But according to the Bible and what it says, Jesus is God in the flesh, was crucified and resurrected on the third day. Many question who Jesus is. Jesus is common in many major religions. Of course, mostly every religion has a different view and answer. Muslims believe Jesus was to be respected, a wise teacher, did miracles, ascended to heaven, and will come again. Hindus believe Jesus was a holy, a wise teacher, and is a ‘god’. Buddhists believe Jesus was a wise teacher. But according to the Bible Jesus is God. Jesus is God in the flesh. Jesus was perfect and sinless. Jesus never in words said, “I am God”. There are many verses in the Bible to prove this point. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:14 says, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.” These verses are …show more content…
The resurrection of Jesus is important for many reasons. One is because it assures us our salvation in Jesus. In order to be saved, you have to believe in Jesus and believe that Jesus rose from the dead. In the Bible, Romans 10:9 says, “..if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.” Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so it also assures us the forgiveness of our sins. We will inherit a place in heaven and hope for us. 1 Peter 1:3-4 says, “According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for
