Resume 36

While reviewing resume 36 my first of impression of the resume was that everything was spread heavily from the left to the right. I feel like when an interviewer is looking at a resume the person is usually looking for the key points for the job description. Which in this case everything is very scattered and hard to look for the key points. Also another thing I saw within this resume is that the person did not stay consistent with their bullets or dates. For example, in the skills section everything is inputted into a bullet format. Which is okay, but everything else should follow the bullet format to make it look more professional and more appealing. Also staying on the subject on staying consistent in the section Awards and Recognitions

The sections are not listed correctly according to the lecture or PowerPoint. For example, it just be listed as education background first, work or professional experience, skills or certifications, and any another additional info that might make you look better to the employer. In resume 38 education is listed in the middle of the resume then certifications are listed at the bottom. By doing that it making the resume look very weak and very hard to find the key points of what makes you look different from everyone else. Another thing I see wrong is that Professional Summary is a bunch of repetitive information. For example, you talk Office 365 like in three bullets. That just of bunch of repetitive information to make your resume look longer. Also another thing is that you state the “I have.” Why don’t you state what did you do to make yourself feel like that? Don’t try to self yourself out that fast. Besides those issues you got the basics of what a resume but needs lots of improvement of format and quality. Refer back to the sample resume that might give you an idea on how to make yourself look good …show more content…
You hit all the major things that should be on a resume. For example, your objective, education/highlights, your skills/abilities, and work experience. I like how the resume was put from strongest to weakest sections. The resume sold it self and made you look very god on paper. You were able to describe yourself in the best possible on the resume. Just one thing in opinion you should put your grade point average under education. Employers are always asking for that while looking for a job in engineering. Also in the sample resume under backboard it has the grade point average under education, I would consider doing that. Besides that, resume 39 is a solid and well formatted

The ePortfolio created for COMM 351 was a beneficial project not only for myself and my own professional presence but also a good guide on what aspects and areas potential professional contact want to see from me. As I prepare myself for the next career move after graduation I know I need to improve the layout and structure of my resume so that it promotes and markets my strengths and skills. The more appealing and informative my resume is the more attraction I will receive when sending it out to professional contacts and employers. Senior Brag Sheet Career Choice: I plan to double major in mechanical engineering and finance, but still face some uncertainty in this plan. My interests developed mainly from the push of my parents. Ever since I was a child, the overarching career I was pushed towards was engineer or doctor, so I pushed myself to learn topics that would better support these ideas. Classes such as Scitech gave me an understanding of what engineers do which provided me with a great deal of interest. Other clubs such as Science Olympiad and TEAMS have also given me experiences that have fostered this interest in engineering with competitions and processes of creating something.…

At the beginning of the semester I was somewhat intimated by the amount of course work that was expected of each student in this class. However, as time went on and I started to complete the assignments, it became clear how useful many of them were, particularly the resume and the career exploration paper. Both of these assignments were beneficial in their own way, despite the time and effort that went in to completing them according to the instructions. The resume and subsequent critiques from multiple sources yielded a professional document that is flawless and ready to be disseminated to potential employers after a minor customization to it based upon the job description and requirements. The career exploration assignment has taught me how…

Final Portfolio Cover Letter I have always enjoyed writing so I feel like classes such as these help me more than others. Before I finish college I hope to take some sort of creative writing class as I feel as I haven’t given that opportunity much in recent years amidst constant essays on topic that I do not care about. As a writer I believe my biggest strength is that when I start writing I can keep writing almost until I have run out of things to write about or am interrupted for some reason. I also feel as though I’m very good at writing about things I am passionate about and if I care about a topic you will be able to clearly tell when reading what I wrote.…

I was able to address this challenge by using tips on organization by my instructor to form a straightforward and understandable job application. In the memo proposal and formal proposal, the challenge most encountered was how to properly construct my paragraphs in order to present the most important information in balance to the supportive material. However, through improvement in my style of writing and use of diction, I was able to form paragraphs in a compelling manner. The instruction sets challenged me to use words and sentence structure that was easy to understand to any audience.…

My previous work experience has exposed me to a variety of team dynamics and I would describe my exposure as very positive. My love for connecting with people has been a major factor in my overall employment success, such as, two management roles before reaching my twenty’s and also a fulfilling career in the financial industry for nine years. Working in a customer service role for the last 14 years I have faced struggles with communication, as well as developed positive skills to work effectively with others. One of the most essential elements I have learned from working as a Financial Advisor is how to build trust with people.
