Restoration Of Christianity Research Paper

What is important about Christianity? How do people use it in everyday life? Those are just two of the many questions I will address in this paper. I am going to talk about God, humanity, Jesus, restoration, I am going to analyze Christianity and finally I will reflect on what I believe. I will also be using the bible to back up my points with the word of God.
God:
God is like no other. He is the reason the sun comes up in the morning he is the reason it sets at night. Without God, nothing would survive. Some people wonder how the universe does everything that it does and I always want to tell them the same way you are here it is all God. God is great. God created everything that moves, breathes, walks and grows. He made the whole world. “Twenty-five

It was said in our lecture this week that “Then the final act in the biblical story, restoration, will commence after the judgment (Matt. 25:31-46) with the new heaven and new earth (Rev 21).” (Lecture 5) The solution for the human problems (sin) in the world is judgement. Judgement is something only god can do. Like when someone feels judged by someone else they say to them “only God can judge me” it might sound like they are trying to get them to stop but it is true. God is the judger of everyone, he decides if we go to heaven or hell when we die or when he comes back for us which ever day comes first. Ephesians 2:8-9 “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” (Bible n.d.) For me I believe that the transformation from self to society happens when someone goes from a child to a teen. They go from being under their parents wing to having to figure out their own faith. I went through it. I figured out what the real world was like and figured out society wasn’t all it was cracked up to …show more content…
There are times when you just feel like you lose your faith. I can honestly say I have felt that way before. I have 2 verses that I use quite a bit one is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Bible n.d.) and Philippians 4:13 “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” (Bible n.d.). When I really feel that I am falling I remember these verses and they help me. I had been in a really tough spot lately where I was depressed and I had started to fall but this class has helped me start to renew my faith and my trust in God. Without God I would not have the strength to do half of the things I know I can do with God. When I don’t think I can go through the struggle anymore I know that God will not give me more than I can handle with him on my side. So, like I said it is not always easy but I know that God and my family whether it is my actual family or my church family they are all there to help life me up and share a kind word to help me make it through

One of the most common misconceptions of Americanized Christianity is this Christianity is, itself the perfect model of Christianity. Our manifest struggles with the meaning of Christianity, and its application within our social structure has set to define the United States as a “Christian” nation – that is a nation founded and built upon a foundation of Christian principle. This misguided idea has lead many to defend a quasi-theocracy that was never intended to be the fundamental tenet of our national existence. Throughout United States history, this quasi-theocracy, built upon jaded interpretation of biblical text, doctrine and dogma has been employed to divide, conquer and oppress humans in conditions such as chattel slavery as well as…

What my husband's advancement to Chief Petty Officer means to me? The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. I met Christian 16 years ago, he was full of energy, funny, and he had the ability to turn any sad or bad situation into a joke making everybody laugh; that is what make me fell in love with him. On the other hand, he was a little immature, unfocused when it comes to work, and nothing seemed to fulfill his expectations. I always knew that his passion was a career in the military, but that was out of question in my book!…

And while trust in human reason and hope for happiness in this world faded during the last centuries of the Roman Empire, a new view of the world began to establish its roots - Christianity. This view had emphasized escape from the world of coercion and a growing connection with higher existence. In response to the decline of Hellenism, Christianity offered a reason worth living to the spiritually disappointed polytheistic followers and the Greco-Roman world: hope in personal immortality. Triumph of Christianity marked a break with classical antiquity and a new stage in the evolution of the West because there was a fundamental difference between the classical and the Christian understanding of God, the individual and the purpose of life.…

The Protestant Reformation is the period when certain reformers changed the way the Roman Catholic Church functioned because they believed that the church was not delivering God's message the right way. The Reformation began during the sixteenth century in the Holy Roman Empire (modern day Germany), from 1517-1648. The important factors that caused the Protestant Reformation include the corruption of the Church, the inventions that led to the beginning of the reformation, and the reformers who initiated the reformation. The main cause for the beginning of the Protestant Reformation was the fact that the Church was seen as corrupt and did not function the way they believed God would want them to make the Church.…

It is the strength of God that help to carry on and move forward. Prayer is powerful. God does not always answer us when we want Him to, but He does hear us and in His time He will move on what we ask Him for. Personally, my decisions have not always been led by God, but I do frequently ask Him for guidance and for His advice. When I do something that is not of his liking, I talk to God about it and ask Him to help me through the situation and ask for forgiveness.…

Contributions to the Spread of Christianity During the Western Civilization Rational There were many different contributions that spread the religion of Christianity during the Western Civilization. First, the accomplishments of the Hebrews, later recognized as the Jews, helped in spreading Christianity as a religion during the Western Civilization, which was also considered the earliest known civilization (36-38). These different contributions that are mentioned in the Power Point begin from 1250-150 B.C. and last through 5-67 A.D. Each one of these contributions are extremely important to the religion of Christianity of today as without them, Christianity might not be a religion or it might not be the religion that we know it is today. Secondly, during 150-220 A.D., several different individuals helped spread the word of Christianity (180).…
