Personal Narrative-Cuban Restaurant

Once and for all I am finally here, standing right in front of this coffee-colored building, with my eyes wide open and my body shaking from head to toes. What I am currently witnessing is something out of this world, nothing like what I was expecting, but so much better. Where I come from, the food is amazing, Cuban food, it is certainly one of my favorite and being at the world 's oldest Spanish and Cuban restaurant is unrealistic. Being excited is not my thing, you see, nothing really impresses me, but that day, my mind was for sure blown away. There is so much history behind those one hundred and eleven years old walls that is astonishing. I have a new favorite place, this place feels like home, it makes me feel like I am back in Cuba, its structure from the outside, the brick, brown building that looks abandoned makes me think of back home, where most of the architecture looks lonely, left to be forgotten. I feel like everyone just like me will love it there, not only because of everything they will witness but because of the hospitality they give you. As soon as you step foot inside, you have a girl at the door waiting to open it for you, welcoming you to the great Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City. When you walk to the hostess stand, they welcome you once again and asks to please wait so you can be shown to your table. If you ask for a tour they look at you like if you just made their day, I asked one of the girls at the front if she could show me around a little before being seated and she looked happy. When you look at everyone 's face they all look so content, you can tell that they actually want to be there by the expression on their faces, the smiles that come out so naturally when the speak to you, every time they say "my pleasure" I could tell how much they meant
