Children that an over or under responsive tactile system are children who have problems with the “nerves under the skin’s surface that send information to the brain” (Sensory Processing Made Simple, 2013). The things that it interferes with are light touch, pain, temperature, and pressure. In conducting an environmental analysis of my home, I found that my house would definitely be stressful to a child who experiences over or under responsive tactile system. There were a few issues that I found. I have two children who like touch. They love to come up from behind and hug me or my husband.
