The Holocaust was the system of government that targeted, and discriminated against the Jewish. The Holocaust lasted for 12 years, from January 30,1933, to May 8, 1945. The death camps in Germany begun in 1941 and ended in 1945. The Holocaust killed 10,000,000 people, 6,000,000 of those people were Jewish. The Holocaust was encouraged by Adolf Hitler, who had extreme nationalism over his country, he believed that Germany needed to be a strong race. He gained power over the war by taking advantage of Germany’s instability. He used his power to develop a hate against all jews, called anti-semitism.
