The “Light Brigade” is a very dramatic poem that is based on 600 men charging into cannon fire. The soldiers knew they had a certainty of death, but they did what they had to do without question. The soldiers had a hope that they would succeed, but at what cost for getting a few cannons from the Russians? What confuses the reader is why they charged in the first place. One of the key points is how dramatic the poem really is with emphasizing the same repeated words, or with the soldiers knowing most of them would die for this mission they had. This I believe is hard for the reader to comprehend why they did what they did and lost so many soldiers in the attempt. The poem Addresses that that the men are clearly heroes
