The “Great Gatsby” Opens with Nick saying ““Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone,” he told me, “just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.” (Great Gatsby, Pg. 1) I believe this is fundamental to the story because he was always raised not to judge people to let them work it out and see what kind of person they are. At the end of “The Great Gatsby” Nick is very judgemental of other and this goes to show, by the end of this book many personality flaws will be extracted and people that were previously thought to be great and glorious could turn out to be terrible human beings.
