Moltmannian hope theology places much more emphasis on God’s promise to act in the future than what He has done in throughout history. To Moltmann, eschatology is not to be seen as the last chapter in a theology textbook but the lens from which all else is to be understood and given its proper meaning. Instead, eschatology is the principal concept from which everything else in Christian contemplation is set. “Theology of Hope” portrays a God that is going before us, and who will renew everything, He is a God of promises.
