Typically Response to Intervention (RTI) focuses on the preschool and the elementary levels of education to identify struggling learners and provide services in order to “accelerate their rate of learning” (What is RTI n.d.). The main focus has been in the areas of Language Arts and mathematics. In order to transform the RTI model elementary to the high school level many obstacles like: monitoring student across diverse curriculum paths, limited time remaining in the students formal education, and multiple teachers involved in the process need to be addressed.
