Response To Claudette's Tone

Improved Essays
Tone is an author's attitude his or her subject. In the text, Claudette's tone is kind of annoyed and a little tired for the most of time. It is because when she was partnered with Mirabella to feed a duck, she tries to exaggerate and over act to explain her feelings of unfairness by using twisted words. To illustrate, "and then who would get blamed for the dark spots of duck blood on our Peter Pan collars? Who would get penalized with negative skill points?" (Pg 234) In my opinion, this was enough to show that she is annoyed that the teacher paired her up with Mirabella when she prayed and prayed to not be a partner with her. Then, she was mad more when she knows that Mirabella could do not much things on her own. For instance,"It wasn't fair.

Through the use of questioning tone, a minimal degree of irony and optimal sincerity, Wallace attempts to express to the reader the brutality of killing a lobster for one’s own self-gain. Unlike Wallace, Foer takes a much different approach using sarcastic tone, an extreme amount of irony, and a lack of sincerity to convey to his readers the act of killing any animal is morally wrong. The tone of an article reveals many different aspects of the message the writer wants to send to the readers, and also his style in…

These two people are trying to keep their affair a secret and the use of tone, symbolism, and rhyme help express the way they go about it.…

The tone is represented by the words used to describe Paris and the thoughts of the lawyer’s wife. Keats also uses these devices to express the Knight's credulous and easily captivated nature and the three shifts in tone; melancholy, admiration, and trepidation.
