Resolution In John Burnside's The Cold Outside

In any conflict, there is resolution whether positive or negative. John Burnside writes a story called,"The Cold Outside" about a man named Bill who has cancer reoccurrence and dealing with conflict in his family and himself. Bill encounters conflict throughout the story with his wife, himself, and the lost time with his daughter. Not all conflict is verbal it can be within the person themselves.
