“Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or even significant sources of stress — such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems, or workplace and financial stressors. His resilience is powered by ambition and the hunger for power. He doesn’t face the problems you would in everyday life, but every character will possess resilience when it is needed. Macbeth knew his fate due to the weird sisters: “All hail, Macbeth, thou shalt be king hereafter”and all that he needed to do was secure it, however there were problems that stood in his way. Macbeth’s ‘problems’ were those that stood against him on his path to power, Macbeth killed many of his problems. He beheaded King Duncan thus enabling him to be king. He had Banquo killed as he was a threat to his power and he had Macduff’s family murdered to show Macduff how powerful Macbeth truly is, however this only provoked Macduff which lead to Macbeths death. Macbeths resilience was not ordinary. His problems were with those around him as they prevented him from excelling. So he defeated and overcame them.
