Residential Team Meeting Summary

Decent Essays
A mandatory residential team meeting will occur Monday to address the overall functioning of the residential department. We are currently functioning in an overtime and contracted staffing deficit exceeding a combined total of 400k and not to mention that we have 3 months remaining in the 2016 fiscal year. In addition we are dealing with some severe internal issues that are directly related to how we are collectively managing which appears to stem from how we are utilizing staff, enforcing policy and procedures, engaging with staff, enforcing structure, enforcing staff duties, following up with needs and/or the lack thereof.

As mentioned back in January we have to implement structure and reiterate expectations before we can anticipate change.

The obvious and best solution to the problem of the normal anxiety and discomfort that are associated with attending one's first AA meeting is to go to the meeting with someone who knows the ropes. If no friend or acquaintance who happens to be an AA member is available, contact can always be arranged by calling the local AA Central Office and asking for a volunteer to telephone one. Although many people avail themselves of such measures to reduce the stress of their first AA meeting, many others find such logical preliminaries themselves too frightening and therefore do not follow them. It is principally to this last group, to those solitary and always frightened and confused "first timers," that this brief introduction is oriented.…
