Research Instruments are scientific and systematic tools which are designed in order to help the researcher collect data on his/her topic of interest, for instance, questionnaire, interview focus group or any device used by the researcher to collect the information in measuring a given phenomenon can be considered as a research instrument. Takona, (2002, p. 73) described research instruments as “essential tools to measure such variables as opinion, attitudes, concepts, attitude, composition and so on” where they suggested questionnaire and interview as effective tools when conducting research in education.
