Everybody make mistakes, if you are human you will make mistakes. I strongly agree with the saying a person should not be judged by their mistakes but how they learn and better themselves after it. The bigger the mistake the more you will learn from it. I have made many mistakes, there was a time when I was younger that I made a huge mistake by stealing from the zoo gift shop. Every kid loves to spend the day at the zoo and I also, loved going and looking at all the animals play. Going to the zoo was a great activity to do with my family. Whenever it was nice out my family would go. The day of my mistake my dad, sister and I all went to the zoo. It was a picture perfect day, blue skies, sun out, and birds chirping. All the animals could sense the beautiful weather. That day started off so great nothing could kill my mood, I thought. The zoo is shaped in a big circle and after seeing all the animals it funnels you right to the exit, which passes thru the gift shop. If I was lucky my parents would buy me something but that day my dad did not. I really wanted to get something though, so I took matters in my own hands. I saw rubber animals, bouncy balls, stuffed animals, and ton of other toys, a wonderful sight to see for a ten year old. …show more content…
Then, I grabbed a rubber snake which was a good two feet and shoved that in my other pocket. Finally, the gift shop had some little rubber animals and I took a handful of those. Looking back I think to myself why did I need all these things anyway, most likely I would play with them for a little bit then be done with them. I thought walking out of the shop that I was so cool because nobody saw me. Funny looking back, I walked like a cowboy back to my car because my pockets were so full. Sadly my walk gave it away and my dad saw me. I was caught red handed and did not know what was going to happen

The White Rhino—extinct in the wild, existing in captivity (O’Connor). Despite existing only in zoos, critics wonder if this situation is truly acceptable. Those in favor of zoos would argue that absolutely, the species lives and can work towards re-establishment and conservation. On the other hand, critics say it prolongs an inevitable death, forcing the animal to spend the rest of its life depressed and alone. This argument has loomed over zoos’ existence from the dawn of their creation.…

Mistakes will be unavoidable but it is the one thing people learn from; either from making the mistake on their own or watching others as they make it. There are people who mainly learns from experience as they go through life on their own, watching and learning, while there are others who try to base their life after a person, a role model, who may or may have never even existed in this world. Epic heroes such as Gilgamesh from The Epic of Gilgamesh, Rama from The Ramayana are a couple of figures that encourages…

A trip to the zoo is always enlightening as no matter how long ago it was we last visited we can always forget something about the animals that live this world with us. Going to the zoo can remind us that we are creatures just like these animals, but also remind us that we are so much more than just animals. Our lives on the surface seem so much more complex than the primates around us, however if we could take the time to observe the lives and the emotions of the animals around us then maybe we can learn who they are, and maybe who we are. The primate that I picked was a mongooses lemur, native to Madagascar.…

Have you ever yearned for a life changing experience that would leave you breathless, but never got the chance to actually obtain one? Many people use school as their way to explore the outside world and acquire life’s perspicacity. The Alamo is a vast, wondrous place for young advanced students, like me, to experience Texas history on another level; therefore, I believe I’m a very superb applicant for this trip. As a child I grew up in the marvelous sun flower state, Kansas, there I attended a very mundane school that never took field trips with educational purposes.…

With the biotic world still being destroyed and harmed at an alarming rate, entire biomes are endangered and whole ecosystems are threatened by anthropogenic pressures. These changes globally have impelled zoos and aquariums to create and establish conservation benefits. This coupled with the growth in economic rationalism and the rise of corporate management, rationalises the feasibility of projects in terms of economic efficiencies. Which has seen the battle between balancing of public entertainment and money with the welfare of animals. It is argued that zoos need to maintain a more concentrated engagement with a range of ethical and pragmatic consideration in the appraisal of animal welfare under the conditions for research.…
