Zipcar is one of the largest car sharing companies around the world. With access to vehicles with just simply signing up and paying your monthly or yearly dues. It became convenient for all people of driving age particularly college students who can’t afford to pay a car note or insurance. It has changed the way you rent cars with minor exceptions. Zipcar has done a great job promoting their company with their logos and great prices.
Zipcar was created and founded by two Cambridge, Massachusetts women, Antje Danielson and Robin Chase in 1999. Just imagine if you were starting a business of your own, let’s say a moving company that moves small items, of course, wouldn’t this be the route to go? You would save a lot of money to get your own business vehicles and more. As long as Zipcar continues to expand and promote their brand they could a bright future. Just think if Zipcar could come up with a better solution to advertise to an older generation. With Zipcar's success, they can take the place of car rental companies, like Hertz and Avis which tend to be very expensive after only using for a couple of days, after the fees and charges of cleaning and taxing on gas and cleaning the car even if you did before returning the vehicle. “Had it not been for car-sharing services, automakers would have sold about 500,000 more new cars over the past decade."
