Wolf hirschhorn syndrome has many nick name due to the appearance of the faces of the people with this syndrome. One of the nicknames is the greek warrior helmet because of the flat nasal bridge and the appearance of a round head. Other nicknames for Wolf Syndrome are Pitt-Rogers-Danks syndrome and 4p syndrome.
There are little causes for this syndrome. One cause for it is the delineation of chromosomes. Delineated phenotypes can also cause Wolf Hirschhorn syndrome. Chromosome 4s arms are short this can cause Wolf Syndrome.
