Research Paper On Water Bottle Rocket

Improved Essays
The water bottle rocket was to help us on our engineering skills. It was a fun project and I’m glad Coach Rob let us do it. Me and Dylan’s rocket was a great rocket except it flew on top of the gym. It flew an altitude of 87.41ft. which was ok. I thank it would have flown better if we have had a longer nose and bigger fins. The longer nose would have made it more top heavy. The bigger fins would have had a better base on it. I also made my own rocket and it flew really good. It was a 2-liter bottle with a longer nose on it. It also had bigger fins on the rocket. It flew higher than the Dill Pickle Machine, but didn’t glide as good. It was also a lot heavier than the Dill Pickle Machine. Both of these rockets were great rockets. From these

The purpose of the experiment was to determine how altering the amount of mass in a makeshift rocket will affect its distance. Our hypothesis stated that when more mass is added to the rocket, its distance will also increase. To investigate this theory, we conducted an experiment in which the mass of the rocket would be changed using differentiating amounts of water. To measure the height of the bottle rocket, we took rope and attached it to the girth of the liter bottle to determine how high the rocket launched in the air. We concluded our experiment to brief that the independent variable is the volume of water, and the dependent variable is the rope that was used to measure the rocket's height.…
