The Ulysses butterfly can live in most tropical rainforest areas such as Northern Queensland, Northern islands of Australia and Papua New Guinea. Its size differs depending on subspecies, although the wingspan is around 10.5 cm in Queensland.
The scientific name for Ulysses butterfly is the papilio butterfly. They are considered to be one of the most abstract butterflies and can be very difficult to take photographs of.
