Through contact with them, I will be able to provide each family with a holiday meal: a ham, vegetables (including green beans and potatoes), macaroni and cheese, rolls, and other canned goods. The outpour of support to help me achieve my goal has been amazing. I plan to continue this project every year and make it a tradition at Coosa High School.…

Food has always been a social event. From the great dinners of the roman household, the last supper, and the good old fashioned American thanksgiving, people have always been able to associate their favorite foods with their season for eating, the event the food was most common at and what emotions were carried with that particular time. The iconic thanksgiving turkey is a prime example. Dining, with or without company can invoke feelings of emotion as well as physical contentment. Such psychological impact may invoke reminiscent moments of nostalgia when eating a food that has heavy emotional impact or has ties to memories.…

Thanksgiving dinner is the best time of Fall, well that’s what I think anyway. My dad makes golden, crispy turkey on Thanksgiving which is the best in my opinion. The turkey is as good as Mexican food yet it tastes way better than Mexican. The corn my dad makes is creamy, sweet, and buttery ( if you put the butter on it). What we sometimes like to do is go outside and sometimes have bonfires and when we do, the bonfires crackle and pop like wildfires soaring through the trees.…

My family and I do not celebrate turkey day (Thanksgiving), however, we do occasionally eat a turkey dinner. It is hard to choose just one item from this dinner because I like combining the flavors of the cranberries, mashed potatoes, and stuffing to create a sweet and savory flavor, but if I had to choose one of the items that the meal absolutely could not go without it would be the delicious stuffing topped with turkey gravy (yes actual gravy not brown sauce.). There was once a close elderly friend of mine who had parkinson's disease, due to his disease his hands shook uncontrollably and it was very hard for him to work on his projects.
