Toy Story 3
Introduction
I have decided to write about the 2010 3D-computer-animated comedy-drama blockbuster, Toy Story 3. The film was released to the United States public on June 18th 2010 and was produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios, it was based after the events after Toy Story 2 (1999) but focused more on a way to conclude the originally set to be trilogy.

Anderson who also helped produce the original Toy Story (1995), as a film producer she was able to select several of the aspects of the overall film, such as selecting the script, directing and editing and even arranging the financing. Disney also released a DVD with Toy Story and Toy Story 2 on it in October 2009, the first full length trailer for Toy Story 3 was attached as a exclusive sneak peak. The actual placement of the trailer was also in order for there to be a match between campaign and audience. Since the people who went and watched UP were Pixar film fans, it means there’s more of a chance they would be interested.
Also because Toy Story 3 and UP are more targeted towards children it means that the age range would be the exact same which also helps extend the match of marketing and audience even more. Additionally after the trailer dropped it ended up creating a lot of hype as for the fan base to speculate what could happen in the film, Disney also starting posting very small hints of the new film on social media which was a platform most children use now …show more content…
It has become the bestselling DVD in 2012, but it lacked in sales revenue and because of that it ranked second behind Avatar on that same list. In the United Kingdom it managed to break the record for the largest launch day for animated films in sales revenue on both Blu-ray and DVD. Furthermore on the first day of it being released on iTunes it had immediately become the most downloaded Disney Film ever. Toy Story 3 had grossed $1 billion making it the 18th highest grossing film of all time.
Toy Story 3 while being a blockbuster success didn’t really take into consideration the reviews by children with reviews saying such as “It was very sad, and it really shocked me. I am especially afraid of fire, so this is NOT a movie I want to see again” was just few of the many complaints people had with the film; others disagreed with the age ratings and claimed “It’s too low” while others mentioning how the dark storyline that Toy Story 3 decided to focus didn’t suit the Disney
