Research Paper On Toaster

Decent Essays
It was early in the morning and I was getting ready to go to school all I needed to do was to have breakfast. So with that I went to the kitchen and plugged the toaster in and then proceeded to toast two pieces of Bread. When the toast finished toasting something weird happened the toast didn't pop up, so I reached for my trusty toast removal fork. As I removed the toast with my fork the fork caught on something so I did what any normal person would, so I shoved the fork further into the toaster to get it out. When I did I discovered it was a ring that the fork caught on… scrunch… Toss...

This is utter trash, it's 7:32 in the morning and this English work is due today and I have barely even finish the introduction.

There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t anticipate a teacher screaming at me for something that I have not completed. When were young everything is new, cool, and captivating; we experience the world with curiosity. As we get older, we confine, we constrict, and we counteract the world around. If placed in a nerve racking situation, we strive to make it positive, it is what we do. There was quote I have always enjoyed from the prominently silence actor, Charlie Chaplin in the 1940s film, The Great Dictator, he says, “...we think too much, and feel too little.” I like to think of myself as someone who always wants to experience life, both the ups and the downs. It's a little difficult to cram 19 years of life into 3 minutes.…

I thought that there could be some chemistry involved due to heat in the oven changing food from liquid to solid. I was so wrong. Even though the oven and heat portion plays a major factor, a good portion of the real chemistry lies in the ingredients we use to make such delicious dessert treats and our different breads. From the ten different sources I looked up previously, for the Annotated Bibliography portion, I found that each of the websites say roughly the same thing.…

It is extremely difficult for me to comprehend this paper after reading it many times. The opening sentence in the first paragraph led me to think that the holiday will be the topic of the paper, which is quickly obfuscated by a movie that has nothing to do with it. This confusion is carried into the paper until the final paragraph that seems to tie back to the introduction, but not completely because the introduction is not clear about what the topic is, or at least not clear to me. I’m not quite sure on the dominant impression, nonetheless I did get a sense of confusion. As far as the thesis statement, I was not able to clearly identify it, however I do think I was able to identify a potential thesis, but it was located in the last paragraph.…

The diction throughout the piece is strong, each word carefully chosen to create the largest impact on the reader. “I couldn’t use my locker for weeks,” remarks Smith, “because the bolt on the lock reminded me of the one I had put on my lips when the homeless man on the corner looked at me with eyes merely searching for an affirmation that he was worth seeing” (Smith). This word choice allows the reader to visualize having a bolt tightened between his or her lips and recognize the guilty and morose tone that Smith attempts to convey throughout the piece. In addition to the thoughtful word choice, Smith uses metaphors near the end of the talk to augment his understanding of language.…
