Some people may think the Titanic should be brought up to the surface. I believe the Titanic shouldn't be brought up. It's already falling apart, if we tried to bring it up it would most likely get destroyed in the process. It's basically a gravesite for over 1,000 people, so moving it would be like digging up a grave. Plus, it would cost thousands, perhaps millions to bring it up.…

In the 1997 film Titanic, the director James Cameron exerts to act the historic disaster of the damned ship. In the scenes of the ship's sinking, Cameron shoots the camera at a distance several times in order to show the mass scale of the disaster. He provides a viewpoint of the lifeboat survivors’ from their distance of the ship. He also thrives on capturing a visual in a bird's eye view of the incident during its occurrence. This view would provide the viewer with a sense of how isolated the ship and its’ passengers were in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.…

James Cameron had directed many movies at this point in his life. While most of them have included high action fight scene, a lot of weaponry, and strong female lead, this one next movie Cameron would take on is very different. It’s a beautiful love story about a woman trying to find who she truly is, set on the catastrophic 1912 Titanic passenger ship, this movie, named after the ship is one of, if not the best work Cameron has ever done. Cameron directed and wrote Titanic, a cinematic masterpiece.…

In 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed on his first voyage with the Spanish in the Santa Maria. The ship only made it to Haiti and sank when Columbus and his crew reached land. “She reportedly sailed well across the Atlantic, but she ran aground near Haiti and broke apart” (“The Niña”). Explorer Barry Clifford in May 2014 said the discovered ship was near Haiti as he has proven, but the UN investigators said the remains found were not from the ship due to different discoveries made. Has the wreck of a ship that changed the course of history been found after more than 500 years?…

Global warming has many effects on the ocean. It affects much of the ocean 's ecosystems and living organisms. The increase in the earth 's temperature has led to coral bleaching which results in shrinking, starvation, and death of corals that support thousands of species that live on coral reefs. It has also resulted in the migration of many fish species. Many have migrated toward the poles as the ice melts as more food and shelter becomes available which could be a problem as they could be a food source for another…

Throughout the last several decades, sea level rise has become an issue that is affecting many areas around the world. According to National Geographic (n.d.), “Scientific research indicates sea levels worldwide have been rising at a rate of 0.14 inches per year since the early 1990s. The trend, linked to global warming, puts thousands of coastal cities… and even whole islands at risk of being claimed by the ocean”. The three main factors that have been causing this global sea level rise are the melting of polar ice caps and glaciers, the loss of ice from Antarctica and Greenland, and thermal expansion. Consequently, as the Earth is being warmed by global warming, the oceans are expanding and ultimately contributing to sea level rise.…
