. This beatitude means that People who are economically poor can be rich in other ways, such as happiness,gratitude and a generous spirit. Although we may not be poor financially, we can still be poor in spirit. Jesus exemplified this when he went up to the mountain then told the disciples the beatitudes. It was similar to when jesus gave moses the commandments. He is modeling this by teaching them the beatitudes that he lived out. Jesus showed happiness, gratitude and he was generous for all
