The perfect American life with no problems, yet full of love and wealth. My question is, do you think the American Dream exists? Also, do you think any and everyone has a chance of achieving it? Though, is the American Dream equally achievable for everyone, no matter what? In my perspective, the American dream is really only targeted at a certain crowd or group of the population. In the article “The American Dream is Fake and Destructive” the written by Amanda Wang it states, “What this means for individual Americans is that those born in poverty are much less likely to be able to rise above that poverty than in any other first world country... A very current ideal, the American Dream directly contradicts the realities of its country. This idea that claims that hard work is directionally transactional to success paints two pictures: (1) that those who are rich are simply hard-working and (2) that those who are poor are simply lazy.” (Wong 1)This means that there are people that are born looking different, born into poverty, and just overall not given the best opportunities in life. So the slogan anyone can achieve the American dream is very one-sided. In conclusion, the American dream is biased and specifically toward a certain group of people. I do think it takes hard work to succeed in life,but I do not agree that everyone in the Guerrero-Vega 3 country is given the same opportunities to have the
