The Tasmanian Devil is found on the island of Tasmania. Tasmania is a part of the country of Austrailia. Eucalyptus trees, coastal scrublands, and vegetation areas are their home. During the day they live under rocks, in caves, under old logs, bushes, and in old burrows that belonged to other animals. They are the top carnivores in Austrailia! The devil mostly eats things that are already dead and walks about 10 miles each night looking for food. They use their sense of smell and hearing to find food. Devils are often called vaccum cleaners of the island because they will eat any type of meat, dead or alive. They hunt small game and even kangaroos! At the San Diego Zoo they are fedd thawed rabbit, mice, fish and even cow bones
